Statesville Equine Clinic Policies
Office Hours/Appointments
Office hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. You may call (704)
873-1743 during these hours to schedule appointments or reach one of
our doctors. Saturday appointments are available on a limited basis
from 9am – 12pm. Saturday appointments must be approved by one
of our veterinarians. If you do not get an answer when calling the office
during business hours please leave a message and your call will be returned
promptly. If you call after hours with a non emergency your call will
be returned the following business day.
We do our best so stay on schedule for on farm appointments but often
extenuating circumstances arise that put us behind schedule. We make
every effort to call and let you know if this happens and give an estimated
time of arrival.
Upon Arrival To Our Hospital
Please follow the “Horse Trailer” sign and circle around
the building in a counterclockwise direction and park in front of our
office facing Highway 64. Check in at the desk in the front office (glass
door between the two garage doors) before unloading your horses. If
you are required to wait a clean stall with fresh water will be provided
for your horse. Please wait in the front office or at your trailer so
you will not disturb patients or owners in the exam rooms.
If you have any previous medical records or diagnostic procedures (x-rays,
ultrasound images, bloodwork, etc) please submit them to the receptionist
at check so the doctors can review them during the appointment.
Payment
Payment is required at the time of service. If you can not accompany
your horse to the hospital or not present at the time of the exam please
call ahead and arrange payment method with our office. For clients at
regularly visited training and boarding facilities a credit card can
be kept on file and billed monthly with your permission. Prepurchase
exams require a credit card on file if the buyer is not present for
the exam. We accept cash, checks, MC, Visa, American Express and Care
Credit as forms of payment. For payment assistance with Credit Care,

Emergency
24 hour emergency service is available to established clients whose
account is in good standing. If you have an after hours or weekend emergency
please call (704) 873-1743. Please follow the voice prompt and press
1 for an emergency. One of our doctors will return your call ASAP. If
you have not received a return call in 20 minutes please call and leave
another message. There is an additional $75.00 emergency fee for after
hour visits. Payment in full is required at time of exam.
Hospitalization
If your horse has to be hospitalized an estimate will be given at the
time of admittance. One of our staff members will contact you daily
to give updates on your hospitalized patient. Payment is required at
the time of discharge.
